Harry Barker Properties is a family run business with roots directly in the Furness Area.
Starting off over 40 years ago from our roots in Askam, our family run business has grown to become one of the main groundworks companies in the area. From groundworks to aggregates, to machinery and plant hire.
WHERE WE STARTED
The business was formed in 1978 by Harry Barker in Askam-In-Furness. With the help of his son and our current Director Harry, his hard work and dedication has grown the company to what it is today.
In 2022 we remain a family run business with the 3rd generation of family members learning from Harry and his team. They share Harry’s dedication to the business and continue to take an active role with its continued success and growth.
We are proud to be a trusted name and throughout the years we have built and maintained relationships with big name clients throughout the industry, these relationships are built on our open, honest and reliable approach. Our aim is to deliver on and exceed our clients expectations while working closely with other organisations to provide guaranteed results.
We pride ourselves on a positive and proactive safety culture that we have built throughout the years and we continually strive to enforce this throughout our workforce, from top management to apprentice and we are committed to constantly improving.
We are an accredited contractor offering a comprehensive range of requirements for many major construction projects. We can undertake groundworks packages, provide machinery & plant hire with or without experienced operators, Grab, Tipper and Low Loader wagon hire, aggregate supplies, tipping facilities and much more. Defibrillator Installed at HBP Office
HBP have installed a defibrillator machine at our head office in Barrow-In-Furness to further our investment in occupational health and safety. Some members of our staff have received training on use of the machine.
